About

My role ensures the efficient, secure, and lawful management of all judicial records, court processes, and registry staff. I serves as the primary link between the Bench, legal practitioners, litigants, and government agencies, while upholding the integrity, confidentiality, and timeliness of court operations. Executive Support to the Bench - I Provide direct administrative support to Hon. Justices including drafting correspondence, memos, reports, and briefs - Prepare cause lists, court diaries, and scheduling of cases - Attend court sessions as required to take notes and ensure proper documentation of proceedings Process & Compliance Management - Supervise the issuance and service of all court processes: writs, summons, orders, warrants, and notices - Ensure full compliance with Court Rules, Civil Service Regulations, and modern ICT policies for court administration - Implement quality control measures to reduce errors, delays, and backlogs in case processing Staff Leadership & Supervision I Manage, train, and appraise all registry staff including Registrars, Clerical Officers, and Assistants - Assign duties, monitor performance, and maintain discipline within the registry - Promote customer service excellence when dealing with lawyers, litigants, and members of the public Stakeholder & Government Liaison - Act as the official point of contact between the Court Registry and lawyers, police, prisons, and other government agencies - Prepare monthly and annual statistical reports on case filings, disposals, and registry performance for the Head of Court - Manage registry budget, stationery, and equipment in line with public procurement rules Technology & Modernization - Drive adoption of ICT tools for e-filing, digital records, and case tracking - Ensure compliance with training on modern court technology and digital documentation MAIN COMPETENCIES - Deep knowledge of Court Rules, Evidence Act, and Civil Service Procedures - Leadership, discretion, integrity, and confidentiality - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Records management, legal documentation, and case flow management - Proficiency in MS Office and Court ICT systems - Decision-making and problem-solving under pressure ACCOUNTABILITY As a Director of Registry I am directly accountable for the accuracy of court records, timely disposal of administrative tasks, and the professional conduct of all registry personnel.
